Hotel del Coronado hosts vow renewal ceremony
Unlike anything we’ve seen before in San Diego, Hotel del Coronado is hosting a special “Vowentine’s Day” event on Saturday, Feb. 14.
In the legendary Crown Room, married and engaged couples will gather from all over the world for a communal vow renewal or wedding ceremony (for those who want to register but are not yet married).
The ceremony, officiated by Paul Frye, will then lead to a classic cocktail reception, three-course dinner and wedding cake from Pastry Chef Daphne Higa. Just like a real wedding, The Del will provide flowers, photography and a “Del Gift Registry,” with one couple winning a second honeymoon at The Del for a five-night stay, dinner for two at 1500 OCEAN, s'mores roast on the beach and a couples massage.
Lovers can then dance the night away to live music by Bonnie Foster Orchestra.
Tickets are $400 per couple. Visit hoteldel.com for more.
