DELight in the holidays at Hotel Del Coronado

Share

The Hotel Del has always been one of the most festive hotels to check out in San Diego around the holidays. This year, the resort has added more cheer to the season with the introduction of its newest holiday tradition, DELights.

The DELights experience will be accessible to enjoy daily through Jan. 1 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event will feature detailed decorations, accompanying music and a dash of snow. There will be a five-minute video mapping light show that can be viewed on the 36-foot-tall tree in the middle of the garden patio. The light display will take place every half hour, starting at 4:30 p.m.

If you crave something sweet while watching the winter wonderland festivities, house-made gingerbread cookies, cider and hot chocolate will be available to purchase on-site.

Those who want a more comfortable viewing experience can opt to enjoy a closer view in a Garden View guestroom package. The show is complimentary to all guests who stay overnight at the resort.

If you’re looking for an even more winter-y stay, the hotel is offering a “Skate & S’mores” package stay through Jan. 3 that provides guests with an ice-skating session, a one-hour long private beach bonfire with S’mores to enjoy and access to DELights

Tickets to DELights are $25 for adults; children 12-and-under are free.
