Comic-Con 2016: Hottest stars to watch

While there are plenty of superheroes in spandex to take on during Comic-Con, there’s another group of folks who undeniably add to all the fanfare of the four-day convention: the celebrities.

Every year, big star surprises are not only common, but expected. You might not even realize that Bryan Cranston is walking around the halls, donning a mask and waiting for panels just like the rest of us.

Luckily, we do have word on some major names scheduled to appear at the Con. If you’re a fan of any of the names listed below, you’ll want to plan your day around some light celeb-stalking and get there early to snap a pic.

Justin Timberlake : It’s rare to find anyone who wouldn’t want to be in J.T.’s presence. Catch him and his castmates in Hall H on Thursday during the special presentation of “Trolls.” 10 a.m. Thursday, Hall H.

Anna Kendrick : Joining Mr. Timberlake at the “Trolls” panel will be everyone’s favorite funny-gal Anna Kendrick. We’re expecting lots of laughs from this power duo, especially after they were just caught performing “True Colors” together at Cannes. 10 a.m. Thursday, Hall H.

Will Smith : Big Willie is comin’ in hot to Comic-Con, alongside the cast of “Suicide Squad” as part of the Warner Bros. panel slot on Saturday. 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Hall H.

Jared Leto : Joining Will Smith on the star-studded “Suicide Squad” panel will be the Joker of the squad, Jared Leto, as he brings the menacing character to life for the first time since Heath Ledger’s iconic portrayal. 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Hall H.

Margot Robbie : Whether you’re there to see Harley Quinn or the gorgeous Margot Robbie as herself, the blonde bombshell will be in attendance with the rest of the “Suicide Squad.” 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Hall H.

Chris Pratt : As part of the Marvel Studios portion of Saturday’s Hall H panel, the hilarious and handsome Chris Pratt will be there for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” He’ll be joined by James Gunn and actress Zoe Saldana, as well. 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Hall H.

Conan O’Brien : It’s not Comic-Con without our favorite red-headed talk-show host. He’s back for tapings of his show, Wednesday through Saturday. Inside the Con, he’s scheduled to be the moderator at the Warner Bros. Pictures panels. 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Hall H.

Gal Gadot: Wonder Woman herself will gracing Comic-Con with her presence, as this new face brings the Amazonian princess back to the battle grounds. 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Hall H.

Tom Hiddleston : While the world sits and wonders if Hiddleston and Taylor Swift’s new romance is all part of a plot to get buzz around his new film, “Kong: Skull Island,” the man on everyone’s mind will join his castmates for a panel at Comic-Con. 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Hall H.

Ben Affleck: While leaving an airport and signing autographs, Ben Affleck was taped confirming that he’ll be attending Comic-Con this year. The internet is full of speculation that he’ll surprise us with the “Justice League” cast, which is set to release on Nov. 17, 2017. Times and day TBD.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt : Catch the “Edward Snowden” actor with the rest of Open Road Films’ “Snowden” cast as they discuss the upcoming biopic about the former CIA operative. Also set to appear are Shailene Woodley, Zachary Quinto and Scott Eastwood. 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Hall H.

Laverne Cox: The influential actress and advocate Laverne Cox will be part of the FOX TV panel for “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” prepping fans for her role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Room 6DE.

Emily Deschanel: Emily says farewell to “Bones” with her cast at Comic-Con, as they begin production on the 12th and last season of the Fox show. 11:15 a.m. Friday, Ballroom 20

Lea Michele : Lea Michele and the cast of “Scream Queens” take to the Con to talk about the second season of the hit Fox show. She’ll spill exclusive details on the new plot lines alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts. 6:45 p.m. Friday, Ballroom 20

Will Arnett: The LEGO Movie spinoff, “The LEGO Batman Movie,” will bring the comical Will Arnett to the scene again with director Chris McKay to discuss all things Bruce Wayne. 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Hall H.
