Winter gloom may be haunting San Diego, but a color splash is in the forecast.
Returning on March 18, the Color in Motion 5K will take over Qualcomm Stadium to douse runners with colored powders as they break a sweat for local charities. Along the 3.1-mile route, runners will transform their white t-shirts to whimsical masterpieces as they run through Mega Color Blasters and jam to upbeat music. After crossing the finish line, runners are invited to continue their celebration at the Color Bash Party with photo ops, music, prizes and more color.
This year, Color in Motion will partner with the Special Olympics Southern California and donate a portion of the proceeds to their cause.
The race will kick off at 9 a.m. Along with registration, participants will receive a t-shirt, color packet, temporary tattoo and a participation medal.
Registration is $50 for regular admission and $65 for VIP. For tickets and more information, visit colorinmotion5k.com/san-diego.
