Bacon Week arrives in San Diego
It’s time to rejoice San Diegans. Bacon Week has officially begun. To celebrate this joyous occasion, which culminates on Sept. 5 with International Bacon Day and San Diego Bacon Fest, we will be highlighting some of our favorite bacon related food and beverages around San Diego.

If you’re one who puts bacon on your bacon, then this is the event for you. On Saturday, San Diegans will join together to celebrate this delicious meat candy and International Bacon Day with more than 50 eateries, breweries and spirit purveyors. Keep an eye out for such dishes as bacon sushi rolls, bacon sausage, chocolate bacon cake and, of course, piles and piles of bacon stirps. If you can’t make the main event, there are other events for San Diego Bacon Week including Bacon Study Hall at Quad AleHouse Thursday and Kevin’s Bacon Ale Release at Arcana Brewing Company on Friday.
