An indie wedding expo is coming to SD
Hey, brides and grooms-to-be: Tired of too much tulle and torturously boring wedding shows?
Toasted Wedding Events to the rescue, a traveling indie-wedding expo making its stop in San Diego on Thursday, Jan. 29.
Like an Instagram-able dream, the Toasted evening takes free-spirted couples through an array of independent, local artisans offering offbeat ideas and products, most that are handcrafted and eco-friendly.
There’s nothing stale to see here, presented with live music and a party-like atmosphere, and of course, crafts. A “refuge from traditional wedding planning,” Toasted is bringing 35 SoCal wedding pros together that defy the corny, tacky and over-done wedding details. There will also be DIY demos, raffle prizes and giveaways, complimentary sips and bites and free photo booth pics.
Admission is $8 in advance or $12 day-of. For tickets and more details, visit toastedweddingevent.com.
New Children’s Museum, 200 W Island Ave., downtown.
