Lewis Black headed to San Diego with his ‘The Joke’s On Us Tour’
“We’re living at the intersection of satire and reality. We live in fictional times.”
That’s what Lewis Black said shortly before the 2016 presidential election, followed by some choice expletives.
Those comments came during his “Black to the Future” theatrical run in New York. Using his exasperation as a launching pad, Black named his 2017 tour “Rant, White and Blue” and warned supporters of President Donald Trump to “stay away.”
One can only imagine how much more barbed this veteran comedian sounds 17 months later, as he brings his “mature audiences only” national tour to town.
Who would expect less from a social satirist who has a fan club called the Frustrated Union of Cynical Kindreds Universal?
