Deadline coming up for San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild’s call for artists
The nonprofit San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild, which traces its roots back to the 1915 Panama-California Exposition in Balboa Park, may have strong ties to the past, but it’s not stuck in it.
Every year, it casts a wide net in search of the next generation of artists by holding a juried exhibition that’s open to artists worldwide.
That exhibit, titled “Connections,” kicks off May 31 at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts.
The deadline to enter is April 2. It’s open to San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild members and nonmembers.
This year’s juror is Ariel Plotek, curator of modern and contemporary art at the San Diego Museum of Art. For more about eligibility, go to sdmaag.org
