Fun fact: The largest one-day street fair in the nation is held in Carlsbad. This year's Carlsbad Village Street Faire will bring more than 900 vendors to the streets of Carlsbad from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, providing event-goers with a wide variety of goods to purchase.
There will be tons of clothing and accessory vendors as well as gardening booths, antiques, art, home decor and much more. Foodies can look to the international food court, featuring over 50 unique eateries, serving up all types of cuisine from across the world.
Sip on craft beers and vino in the Rotary Club of Carlsbad's beer and wine garden, set with large screen TVs and live music to groove to.
Kids are welcome to come out and play in the children's area, complete with a super slide, bounce house, games, a rock climbing wall, arts and crafts and face painting to keep them entertained all day long.
For early, breakfast-loving birds, head over to the Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad's hosted pancake breakfast at the Carlsbad railroad depot. The free meal offers event-goers pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice between 7 a.m. and noon.
The event will take place between Carlsbad Blvd. and Jefferson Street. There will be free shuttles running to and from the faire, with stations near Sears at Westfield Plaza Camino Real and at the Poinsettia Coaster Station to make parking easier on guests.
