Stamp Of Approval
Los Angeles artist Tom Fritz has turned his love for art and muscle cars into five (count ‘em!) USPS Forever stamps. With less than one percent of themes chosen from nearly 40,000 submissions, Fritz overcame odds outweighed only by the chances of anyone ever again using a stamp.
He credits failing chemistry class with guiding him into the arts world, where instructors encouraged him to “paint who you are and what you know.”
His winning designs include a 1966 Pontiac GTO, a 1967 Shelby GT-500, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, a 1970 Chevelle SS and a 1970 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda.
