Scream Zone gets spookier with all-new attractions

Share

San Diego’s largest spook show, Scream Zone, returns on Friday, Sept. 25 to the Del Mar Fairgrounds... err I mean, “Scaregrounds.” The legendary haunted event has completely revamped its experience, making it more authentic and more bloodcurdling than ever.

Here are some of the NEW horrifying attractions.

The House of Horror

The classic, terrifying Scream Zone haunted house has been gutted and reconfigured to give attendees the thrill of their lives, as long as they make it out alive.

KarnEvil

Think of a carnival, gone corrupt. This attraction, starring Dr. Marvel S. Mayhem, showcases an oddity-ridden cast of mutants and conniving creatures who have a passion for “killing” their performances.

Paintball Apocalypse: A Nightmare on Clown Street

Crazy, deranged clowns of all kinds come out of nowhere, following their victims into the dead of the night. Attendees will get the opportunity to execute their affliction for creepy clowns via paintball warfare.

The Haunted Hayride

Come along on a hayride to hell. As you ride the path of The Walking Dead, zombies meander by the carriage as it takes passengers further into The Trailer Park of Terror.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased in a variety of packages. The Triple Haunt package of House of Horror, Haunted Hayride and KarnEvil is $32; The Double Haunt package of KarnEvil and House of Horror or Haunted Hayride is $23; The Single Haunt package for House of Horror or Hayride is $18. Apocalypse Paintball is $25 regularly and $20 if purchased with the Triple Haunt package.

All attendees will receive half-off the purchase of a Triple Haunt on opening night, Sept. 25.
