Go Fore It

Defending champion Sandra Gal and 143 other leading ladies of the links tee off for a $1.7 million purse March 19 to 25 at La Costa, the Carlsbad resort still sparkling from its recent $50 million makeover.

“The Kia Classic exposes people to a different type of golf experience,” says tournament director Dennis Bagget. “The LPGA players like to have a good time, walking around with fans, giving high fives, signing autographs. It’s a very fan-friendly experience.”

Tickets range from $20 (for those wanting to sit by the green) to $300 (for those already rolling in it).
