Gaslamp Mardi Gras Party announces headliners
Get ready to shake, shimmy and groove at this year’s all-out, extravagant Mardi Gras party in the Gaslamp. This year’s Gaslamp Quarter Mardi Gras Parade and Celebration is promising an incredible party that’s bigger and better than ever-now happening on Saturday, February 6 to be more accessible to revelers. Get your mask and beads ready for a night you have to see to believe!
Five stages, spread out across ten blocks in the Gaslamp, will play host to unforgettable acts. On the King Club Stage, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is taking hip-hop fans to “tha crossroads.” These legends will be joined by the “official DJ of the West,” DJ JAM, Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys, San Diego’s own DeeJay Al of Z90.3 and DJ Saman.
Get amped at the Canal Street Stage, presented by Parq and Party Naked. Headlined by dubstep genius Minnesota and full of EDM acts, this will be the place for glitch-hop, bass, trap and electro-house music.
On the new Tin Roof Krewe du Vieux Live Music Stage, The Aggrolites will lead the jamming. They’ll be joined by Cassie B Project, Calphonics, DJ Man Cat and The Village Squares. Find the beat with sultry songstresses, tubas and trumpets all night long.
Looking for some true Carnival spirit? You’ll find it overflowing from the Rue Carnival Brazilian Arts Stage, featuring spicy Samba performances, live art from Nicole Diaz and live body painting from Lana Chromium, winner of Skin Wars-all to beats from DJ Ramsey, DJ Potira, Kaos and DJ D Lo.
For a different and all-new experience, don’t miss the Treme Silent Disco Stage. Pick up a pair of wireless headphones at the block entrance and choose one of two dueling DJs to move to.
But don’t get so into the music that you miss the Big Easy Parade! With 50 entries vying to be the most glamorous, the most enticing, the most over-the-top, the parade epitomizes everything grand and fabulous about Mardi Gras. Acts include music groups, roving performers, specialty acts, car clubs, Mardi Gras krewes and incredible floats.
The Mardi Gras Parade and Celebration is a 21+ event. General admission tickets are $45 through January 27, $55 through February 5 and $60 at the party entrance. Active duty military discounts are offered. The VIP experience (starting $75) includes VIP entrance and restrooms, three complimentary beverages and more. Food and drink packages are available for general admission ($60) and VIP tickets ($90) and include a $30 credit at participating venues.
