Hip-hop hooray: Beat Street is back
Get ready to experience some Bronx-style hip-hop over at East Village’s popular outdoor venue, Quartyard. Beat Street, hosted by Party Naked, will return from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 for an evening centered around hip-hop culture in America, specifically its influence from the East Coast.
There will be four different elements of hip-hop music showcased for your enjoyment at the event: The turntablist, the emcee, art and dance. While experiencing the energizing event filled with authentic beats, sip on craft beer, kick back in the outdoor patio area and grab a bite at your leisure.
Think you can get down with the best of them on the dance floor? Enter to compete in an all styles dance battle for more than $1,000 in prizes, or test your hoop skills at the 3-point shootout where the winner will receive a pair of Jordan 11s. Beyond some friendly competition, there will be tattooing, barbers, street musicians and more on site.
Tickets are $10 for early bird admission; $10 for all styles dance battle registration; $40 for 3-point basketball shootout registration. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit wepartynaked.com. This event is 21+.
