The nearly 100 artsy street banners that have been hanging on lamp posts along six miles of Highway 101 from Leucadia to downtown Encinitas, will be auctioned off May 21.

The 99 works of art have been displayed since their unveiling in March. Proceeds from the sales will be split evenly between the artists and either the 101 Artists’ Colony or Leucadia 101 Main Street Association.
The live auction is 2 to 4 p.m. May 21 at the Cardiff Town Center, 2007 San Elijo Ave., Cardiff.
