A ‘Grease’ sing-and-dance along is coming to SD
“I got chills, they’re multiplying!” For those of you who are already singing the next lyric aloud, look no further than the Grease sing-and-dance-along coming to Cinema at the Balboa on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The show will take attendees back to a simpler time, where greasers ruled the school-yard at Rydell High. Cast members will be joined by some of the OG musical actors, Michael Tucci and Barry Pearl, who played Sonny and Doody.
This event comes to us from the creators of “So You Think You Can Dance” and “American Idol,” and is to be hosted by alumni dancers from SYTYCD. All lyrics will be shown on a screen to make it that much easier to recollect the words to those classic tunes.
Dress code is not enforced, but grease-themed costumes are definitely more electrifying. Plus, best-dressed costume will win a “Golden Ticket” gift basket, including access to all September films at Balboa theatre and free dinner vouchers for local eateries.
The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com
