Former George’s at the Cove chef named head of culinary operations for Common Theory Public House
Former George’s at the Cove chef Jonathan Bautista has been named head of culinary operations for Convoy gastropub Common Theory Public House, and he will also lead the food program at adjoining Realm of the 52 Remedies cocktail lounge. New additions to the menu include items like the Sichuan hot-fried chicken sandwich with fermented pear slaw, sweet pickle, and kaffir lime ranch; and the Convoy pork and shrimp katsu burger served on a brioche bun with pickled onions, butter lettuce, tonkatsu mustard spread and radish sprouts. “I’m beyond happy to be part of this amazing team,” said Bautista. “My goal is to continue elevating the guest experience and positive reputation Common Theory has already earned while integrating some of my own experiences, ideas and favorite ingredients into the mix.” 4805 Convoy St., San Diego. commontheorysd.com
