Sip the City offers taste of San Diego wineries

Need something to wash down your deep-fried lemonade with at the San Diego County Fair? The annual Toast of the Coast wine competition and festival on Saturday offers plenty of reds, whites, rosés and bubbles to choose from. Calling all San Diego winos! Get ready to enjoy some of the best wines San Diego has to offer at Sip the City on Thursday, June 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m at The Headquarter’s outdoor courtyard.

The event will kick-off San Diego Urban Wine Week, taking place from June 2-8. Urban Wine Week will showcase top San Diego wineries who are sourcing grapes from nearby farmlands and making excellent wines in the middle of our bustling city.

Sip the City attendees can look forward to trying over a dozen different urban San Diego wineries. Participants include 2Plank Vineyards, Vinavanti Urban Winery, Vesper Vineyeards, Solterra Winery, Koi Zen Cellars, Giani Buonomo Vintners, Carruth Cellars, California Fruit Wine, BK Cellars Urban Winery, Witch Creek Winery, San Pasqual Winery, Stehleon Vineyards and Negociant Winery.

Winos can also look forward to plenty of food options and live entertainment from funky jazz artist, Joe Cardillo.
