Bing Crosby Season is upon us! The second installment of the year at the Del Mar Racetrack returns on Thursday, Oct. 29 to kick-off the fall race season running through Nov. 29. The event, named after the iconic founder of Del Mar Racetrack, is all about remembering that special time when Hollywood was all about glamour as the stars flocked to Del Mar in the '30s. Attendees should dress in their most fabulous, old-Hollywood fall attire and prepare to win big in one of the several fashion contests taking place on opening day. The awards include best dressed couple, best old Hollywood look and best celebrity lookalike. There is more than $3,000 in prizes up for grabs this season. Beyond the contests, there will of course be Thoroughbred racing to keep things exciting on the track. The season boasts a variety of experiences to delight in as well, like the Fall Food Truck Festival on Nov. 7 for all the foodies in SD. On Nov. 21, the College Day Tailgate Party will take over the tracks, which offers free admission for college students and features live music by Iration. Sublime with Rome will also be taking the stage at the Craft Beer and Cider Festival on Nov. 28. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit dmtc.com. Source: DiscoverSD
