Enjoy SUP yoga in a swimming pool

Share

For some, yoga mixed with ocean or bay conjures images ranging from being tangled in slimy seaweed to the more epic phobias that allow you to hear stingray, but imagine shark.

The determined mermaids and mermen at Bliss Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga have found a way to meet everyone at their level to find bliss. Saltwater, ocean, bay not necessarily required! Every Saturday, Paddleboard Bliss brings Bliss Pool Yoga to different pool locations right here in San Diego.

From atop a signature Cali Bliss bamboo board, Bliss founder Taylor Chaput told DiscoverSD, “One of the reasons we’re offering Bliss Pool SUP Yoga is to start people off in a less intimidating environment where they can experience being on the water, feeling fresh air and sun. We also wanted to make it more accessible to people who don’t live close to the ocean and bay, by bringing the experience to them.”

Classes are one hour, and start with basic water and paddleboard safety. No paddle or yoga experience is required.

So if you want to skip that weekend beach traffic-or if salty, sandy yoga isn’t on the top of your bliss list (yet)-check out one of these spots for Bliss SUP Pool Yoga.

Bliss is waiting. Even if you don’t paddle out.
