The Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit grassroots organization established to protect the ocean, waves and beaches, today announced LET IT BLOCK as Surfrider's "official sunscreen."
Launched this year, LET IT BLOCK sunscreen products are formulated with key ingredients that are full of nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins that are all paraben-free.
"We're excited to partner with a sunscreen that shares our values for protecting the ocean," said Pete Stauffer, Surfrider's Environmental Director. "LET IT BLOCK sunscreen is free of parabens that damage reefs, water quality and marine life and is in recyclable compact pouches, resulting in products with a smaller plastic footprint. It's a great choice for ocean users who want to protect the places they love."
Developed by California natives Pauline Takahashi Saunders and David Dorcich, the environmentally friendly sunscreen products were developed based on their childhood foundation of growing up near the coast.
"We wanted to create a lifestyle sun care brand that encompassed the things that helped shape our lives growing up, such as the beaches we swam at," said Dorcich. "LET IT BLOCK sunscreen is good for both human and ocean health."
