1. Hard Rock Hotel brings pool parties back to San Diego with Sunburn Saturdays

SUNBURN Saturdays will debut at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego’s rooftop Float starting Saturday, March 26. The event will be hosted every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cocktails will be offered to enjoy while you dance to the tunes of live DJs at the biggest pool party in San Diego. 4. SeaWorld announces it will end its orca breeding program

SeaWorld has long been known for killer whale shows that have drawn in audiences from across the world to see the once popular and impressive show. The “Blackfish” documentary seems to continue to wreak havoc on the company’s reputation and brand. The new plan, announced earlier this week by CEO Joel Manby, includes eliminating the breeding of orcas and plans to “retain the orcas it has for at least a couple decades and display them in a new way.”

5. Phil’s BBQ named best Airport Bar/Restaurant in America by U.S.A today

Yep, Phil’s BBQ is that good. Our airport’s favorite BBQ joint, which opened in 2013, beat out top choices such as Cafeteria 15L Sacramento International Airport and Timber Ridge at the Reno-Tahoe International Aiprort for best bar and restaurant at an American airport. Good going, Phil’s!
