Former Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton (67), is scheduled to visit San Diego for the first time since announcing her candidacy for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination on April 12.
A fundraiser for her campaign, Clinton will be appearing at the Omnia Nightclub on Aug. 7. Kidding, it’s a house party at the La Jolla home of Qualcomm co-founder Irwin Jacobs.
Billed as a “Conversation with Hillary”, tickets are priced at $1,000 and $2,700 -- the maximum individual contribution under federal law -- and can be purchased via her website, hillaryclinton.com.
According to PoliticalPartyTime.org, the fundraiser is part of a four-day, five-state trip that will also consist of events in the Los Angeles and San Francisco, Colorado, Utah, Oregon and Texas.
No word on whether any republican hopefuls will visit San Diego.
