Good grief! Peanuts gang in town

Share

A batch of beagles? Good grief, Charlie Brown.

With the Peanuts gang’s first ever 3D CGI feature-length animated movie set for a U.S release in November, rediscover childhood love for Snoopy and his underdog owner Charlie Brown.

Here are four reasons to find yourself in the (giant red) doghouse set up in the parking lot next to Petco Park’s main entrance.

1 Beagles!

Beagles, just like the loveable Snoopy! At least five rescued beagles play in a corner of the giant red doghouse from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and then 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Take a selfie with a pooch provided by the Beagle Freedom Project, which rehabilitates animals used in laboratory testing.

2 Swag!

Show up early and get a free hat featuring Charlie Brown’s iconic zigzag. What better way to look good for the little red-headed girl.

3 A game and a seflie!

Play a Peanuts video game with your kids and maybe pose for a pic with a life-size Snoopy.

4 Slide away

Leave the doghouse by shooting down a 12-foot slide. And hey in your head maybe you can shoot down The Red Baron, arch nemesis to Snoopy heroic Flying Ace.
