Chargers head coach to return, fans NOT happy
It’s official. Chargers head coach Mike McCoy will keep his day job.
After a disastrous 4-12 season (and winless in the AFC West), McCoy’s future seemed sketchy, but Chargers President of Football Operations John Spanos announced - via press statement - that they are standing by their man:
“I have the utmost confidence in our leadership,” said Spanos in a press release today. “Tom Telesco, Mike McCoy, and I have already begun evaluating every aspect of the team to take the essential steps to put a winning product back on the field.”
What field? Well, as the future home of the Chargers remains uncertain, a future with McCoy at the helm has certainly produced a negative reaction in the Twitterverse.
