Bring your pup to Petco Park on June 2
The Dog Days of Summer event is back at Petco Park, as the baseball stadium opens up to pets and their parents on Thursday, June 2.
Furry four-legged friends are invited to attend the game against the Seattle Mariners and stroll around some of the pet-focused activities. Gates to the event will open at 3:30 p.m. Those who wag their tail in early will be treated to a pre-game “tail”gate party, featuring an on-field pet parade and a costume contest. There’s also a pet and pet-parent lookalike contest and best pet trick competition, so start training Fido today.
Ready to adopt? Second Chance Dog Rescue and Rancho Coastal Humane Society will be showing off adoptable pets during the game, as well.
The first pitch of the game will be thrown by United States Marina Corps Sergeant Jonathan Overland and his military working dog, Jackson at 5:55 p.m., just before the game gets underway at 6:10 p.m.
Be sure to use #PadresPets and #PetcoDogDays when sharing your photos at the game. Each month for the remainder of the season, Petco will award one great hashtag-ed photo with a $100 gift card.
