Bachelorette of the week: Rachel Buehler
Meet Rachel Buehler, a 25-year-old medical sales rep who lives in Encinitas. She loves working out, dancing, scuba diving, snowboarding, cooking, traveling, and going on adventures.
Buehler and 11 other hot bachelors and bachelorettes are putting themselves on the auction block to help benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County. Buehler recently talked with DiscoverSD about what she’s looking for in a man and the San Diego dating scene.
Q: What’s the most important thing you look for in a guy?
I am looking for someone who will be my best friend, is self-motivated and has a great sense of humor. Someone that is not afraid to dance with me on the dance floor, even if we are the only ones dancing.
Q: Describe your idea of the perfect date.
Enjoying a nice sit-down dinner (sushi, of course) and then running off to a Chargers or Padres game.
Q: When dating someone, what are your turn offs?
A guy who takes himself too seriously. If you can’t get silly, make fun of yourself a bit, and joke around, then you’re not for me. The goofier the better!
Q: What makes San Diego a great or terrible place to date?
I haven’t been single for that long, but so far San Diego is a great place to date! It brings in so many different kinds of people, so it keep things fun and interesting.
Q: Worst date you have ever been on and why?
I once was on a date with a guy who was extremely rude to the waitress. Things ended quickly before it even started.
Q: Couple you admire the most and why?
This may sound cheesy, but I admire my parents relationship. They are always challenging and bettering each other. They have been through it all raising four girls and still remain as in love as they were when it all started.
Q: What would your dating profile headline say?
I need a “date,” not a “nut.”
Q: What you’re looking forward to the most with Rockin’ Date Night?
I am looking forward to meeting new people and possibly landing a date with a great guy!
