Hot news: Mostra Coffee wins roaster award

Mostra Coffee, the San Diego-based coffee shop known for its specialty drinks like Campfire Latte and Bibingka Crème Brûlé, has won Roast magazine’s Micro Coffee Roaster of the Year award for 2020.

Winners are determined by the following criteria: coffee roasts of superior quality, exemplifying a dedication to sustainability, promoting employee and community education, and demonstrating a strong commitment to the coffee industry.

Mostra, which means “Show,” “exhibition” or “performance” in Italian, was founded six years ago by four Rancho Bernardo friends from diverse backgrounds and experiences who share a love of coffee and community and a passion for inspiring the best performance in themselves and in others. Plans include a second San Diego venue by year’s end.
