Wine and dine with DuMOL

Raise a glass with Pink Lady in La Jolla next week.

On June 13, a DuMOL Wine Dinner will be held at The Med, the official restaurant of La Valencia Hotel — aka the Pink Lady, lovingly nicknamed after its signature pink exterior and tower

Indulge in a multi-course evening, with each dish paired with a 2016 wine from DuMOL, a vineyard located in the Russian River Valley.

First up is the amuse-bouche: dancing devil plum and lemon verbena syrup, paired with ‘Wild Mountainside’ Viognier. Then savor Crudo of Hamachi alongside a glass of ‘Wester Reach’ Chardonnay, followed by Lobster Carpaccio served with a different Chardonnay, ‘Chloe’ Ritchie Vineyard.

The next two courses are paired with Pinor Noirs: ‘Wester Reach’ and ‘Ryan’ Widdoes Vineyard. Enjoy the former with a plate of gnocchi and the latter with a roasted filet of beef.

Dessert finishes off the evening — blackberry and stone fruit with Greek yogurt cremeux, black pepper sponge and lavender pavolva, to be exact — plus a toast of ‘Wild Mountainside’ Syrah.

Tickets are $125 with limited seating available, so early reservations are encouraged.
