Theatre Box premieres Sunday brunch
Want to mix up the weekend with a new brunch spot? Starting this Sunday, brunch-lovers can cheers bottomless mimosas to a movie screening.
Gaslamp entertainment venue Theatre Box will now host “Sunday Brunch and the Big Screen” beginning June 9. Before settling in for an afternoon film screening, movie buffs can enjoy breakfast or drinks at the Chocolate Lounge, located inside Sugar Factory at Theatre Box.
The brunch features a buffet with customizable omelets and waffles, and various entrées such as eggs Benedict, French toast and roasted herb salmon.
And if the waffles and French Toast aren’t sweet enough, Chocolate Lounge’s dessert station — stocked with peanut butter brownies, cheesecake bites and more — is sure to satisfy any sugar craving.
Entry is $50, which includes tickets to both the brunch buffet and movie screening, as well as popcorn to munch on during the flick.
In addition to the buffet, a $20 build-your-own cocktail bar offers bottomless mimosas and bloody marys. Customize mimosas with juices, fruit and candy, or add olives, celery and smoked bacon to bloody marys for the ultimate pre-movie treat.
