Star chef from Valle de Guadalupe to cook at Little Italy’s Kettner Exchange

Share

What happens when two culinary stars collide? When it’s Sheyla Alvarado, the wood-fire wunderkind from Baja’s Valle de Guadalupe, and Kettner Exchange’s innovative executive chef Brian Redzikowski, the result will surely be five courses of cross-border deliciousness.

Alvarado, the chef of TrasLomita, the outdoor restaurant at Lomita winery, will join Redzikowski for one of his exclusive chef’s table feasts. She was dubbed “the most talented chef in the Valle” by no less an authority than chef and regional Mexican expert Rick Bayless.

Dishes will come from both of their respected repertoires, including the McRoyal Bao, big-eye tuna poke, vegetable salad with mole, grilled octopus, hot-rock Japanese Wagyu with truffle hollandaise and rice pudding with guava. Added bonus: courses will be paired with Lomita’s polished wines.
