San Diego Festival of Beer celebrates 25 years of cancer activism

County’s oldest beer festival features 120 varieties of craft beer, food, music and more with all proceeds benefiting cancer treatment and research

About 1,500 craft beer drinkers are anticipated to attend the silver anniversary of the San Diego Festival of Beer, hosted by San Diego Professionals Against Cancer.

The charity event will feature about 50 breweries, including Gravity Heights, Green Flash and Societe Brewing Co., pouring 120 different beer styles.

In addition to craft brews and waterfront views, DJs will provide the music in partnership with iHeartRadio, and there will be plenty of food available for purchase.

Noon to 5 p.m. (VIP admission); 1 to 5 p.m. (general admission) Saturday at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, 1000 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego. $50-$75; $30 designated driver. Tickets: sdbeerfest.org/tickets
