SRO: The nation’s first LGBTQ brewery, HBC sits opposite the starting point for the annual Pride Parade, which kicks off July 13 at 10 a.m. Expect a full house. “It is one of our wildest days,” said brewer Clinton Shaver, 30.

Know: Shaver, head brewer here for two years, has put his stamp on house beers like Brown-Eyed Squirrel Brown Ale and Hop Sucker double IPA. Check out his collaboration with Ballast Point, Pride 2019, a crisp, dry cucumber lager.

Pro: While proud of its LGBTQ roots, HBC welcomes beer fans of every persuasion. “We try to make this a safe space for everybody,” Shaver said. “Just don’t be a jerk. That’s it.”
