Yes, there is now a Cat Café in San Diego
Did you see our Instagram this morning?
We scoped out San Diego’s first ever coffee shop with adoptable cats that you can nuzzle up to while the caffeine kicks in.
The Cat Café, located at 472 3rd Ave. arrives from proprietor Tony Wang. After ordering lattes and brewed coffee from West Coast Roasters (plus espresso from Café Virtuoso), guests are then encouraged to enter a separate room where furry felines are eager to play.
The cat café trend has sparked up in cities like San Francisco and New York, but started originally in Taiwan and grew into a tourist trend in Japan.
The cats roaming the café come from local cat rescue organizations and are closely monitored and nurtured. You can stop by from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily or learn more online at catcafesd.com.
