Volcano Rabbit explodes onto the Gaslamp scene
On Friday, Feb. 16, Volcano Rabbit will join the busy and ever-changing Gaslamp scene. This bar and craft taco joint will offer a lively nightlife experience with interesting taco flavors and a large selection of tequila in a setting that pays homage to the traditional Mexican hacienda.
Executive Chef Andre Alto presents tacos with a twist, including seared ahi, sticky beef short rib and chili-rubbed octopus.
It doesn’t stop there. Order the monthly ultra-luxe specialty “$20 taco” to experience wild flavors, which are rumored to include baked lobster, sturgeon caviar, quail eggs and many other high-end ingredients.
Tacos aside, there also will be large entrée dishes such as salmon poblano, short rib mole and a signature meat board. Feeling a little parched? Enjoy some drinks, of course. With more than 175 different agave spirits from around the world and a menu of over a dozen handcrafted cocktails, there is something for everyone.
What else could possibly set Volcano Rabbit apart from other bars and restaurants? They’ve got exclusive perks. Pay an annual fee to be part of the tequila locker program, which allows members to store bottles in personal lockers at the bar and access to special bottle pricing on all spirits available for purchase.
Volcano Rabbit, an RMD Group project, will host DJs every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Bottle service is available, with two options — full size bottle service and a “mix-and-match” mini bottle service that includes three mini bottles from more than 30 different options.
Saturday brunch parties will feature DJs, build your own ceviche stations, brunch bottle service and more.
Volcano Rabbit will be open daily starting Friday, Feb. 16.
