The Wedge Artisanal Cheese Festival is back

Share

The fifth annual Wedge Artisanal Cheese Festival presented by the Escondido Downtown Business Association will return on Nov. 7. The festival is spread across 13 downtown Escondido shops co-hosting the event. Your “passport” to the festival includes access to all of the samples around the various storefronts, plus pairings of over 15 boutique wines and craft beers.

Not only will attendees be able to sample a variety of drinks and cheeses, but they’ll also be able to try gourmet, cheese-forward dishes from some of the top restaurants on Grand Ave. The aforementioned cheese samples are nothing to be scoffed at, either. These decadent tastings will include only the best, award-winning California cheeses made from some of the top creameries in the state.

There will be live music and entertainment in between restaurants on Grand Ave. to enjoy while you make your way to the next tasty sample. Other artists, local agricultural information booths and locally-grown food sourcing demos will also be participating in the cheesy festival.

The event is 21-and-up.

When: Saturday, Nov. 7 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Maple Plaza. W. Grand Ave and N. Maple St., Escondido

Price: $45; $25 for a designated driver ticket which excludes drink samples
