Taste of University Heights returns on Nov. 8
The University Heights Arts Open and the University Heights Community Development Corporation present the 10th annual Taste of University Heights and UH Arts Open, a combined celebration of art and food within the eclectic community of University Heights. The two-for-one-event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature an open art show that event-goers can walk through while tasting samples from 15 of University Heights’ hottest restaurants.
Open studios and venues participating include Park Blvd. Artworks, Mundo Gallery, Big Front Door, Mystic Mocha and Buddha’s Light Bookstore amongst others. Each location will be showcasing different artists and styles of art, including everything from oil paintings to wood-carvings. The event will offer a free shuttle service from 12 to 4 p.m. for event-goers to utilize throughout the day. An informational booth will be located at Buddha’s Light Bookstore that includes maps to all participating locations.
While you walk around viewing the art, enjoy some of the delicious dishes that University Heights’ restaurant scene has to offer. Attendees can taste popular creations from Café 21, Twiggs Coffeehouse, Park & Rec, Plumeria Vegetarian, Lestat’s on Park and many more along the way.
