Tajima expands into Tijuana

It’s lucky number four for Tajima Ramen. The ramen restaurant has just opened a fourth location in East Village, serving chef Sam Morikizono’s signature Tajima menu of specialty ramen and modern Japanese cuisine. The bar will feature 10 taps of local San Diego craft brews and specialty Japanese beer, sake, wine, bottled beer and a variety of Batch Craft soda. There’s no question that Tajima has taken San Diego by storm. With four locations -- the latest being in East Village -- the standout ramen joint continues to reel in new fans.

The latest news? Tajima has expanded across the border, bringing their noteworthy bowls of noodles to Tijuana. The new Tajima is located in Plaza Rio Food Garden, an 11,000 square-foot indoor and outdoor food court in Tijuana’s Zona Rio.

The most beloved dishes from Executive Chef and Owner Isamu Morikizono will be served, including Tonkotsu ramen, vegi ramen and spicy tonkotsu ramen. They will also serve fried rice with pork, tofu and shrimp. Prices range from $50 pesos to $110 pesos ($2.50-$6 USD).
