Tacos Perla brings Tijuana chefs to North Park
Looking for an authentic and legit Mexican taco vendor north of the border? Stop by North Park’s Tacos Perla for their new Guest Taco Nights series starting on Feb. 19, which brings Tijuana chefs to the restaurant to cook up some delicious, original recipes.
Each event will feature a talented chef, taking to the kitchen for one night only and serving up their best taco for $3.95 each. The first three Guest Taco Nights will take place on Friday, Feb. 19, Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Wednesday, March 16.
Adria Marina will be the first chef stopping by Tacos Perla on Feb. 19, representing Don Ramen, her food truck in Tijuana. Marina is 24-years-old and has had over 10 years of Mexican culinary experience, both in the United States and in Mexico. She was a former cuisine chef at Mision 19 and now is the chef and co-owner of Don Ramen. Marina will also be competing in Top Chef Mexico this year.
Also on the roster are Oso Campos, representing Tacos Kokopelli in Tijuana and Diego Herandez of Corazon de Tierra in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico.
The taco-takeovers will take place from 5 to 9 p.m on selected nights. Make sure to arrive early because space is limited, and there are no advance tickets.
