It’s time once again to name the champion of San Diego tacos. Starting Feb. 2 and continuing every Thursday in February chefs will go head-to-head in a cooking challenge where guests in attendance get to taste the tacos and help crown the winner.
Taco Fights will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays downtown at The Blind Burro. There will be three different taco packages available ranging from $9-28. The basic Taco Fight Taco Plate ($9) includes just the tacos of the night. The Caballero Package ($16) includes Taco Fight tacos, plus ceviche or small guacamole and salsa flight. The Gran Jefe Package ($28) includes Taco Fight tacos, small nachos and a Ring of Fire cocktail.
Drink specials during the Thursday events include $15 Ring of Fire, $7 Espolón Cadillac margaritas, $7 red or white sangria, $5 El Silencio mezcal shots and $4 La Buena Cervezas.
