Following a recent expansion into East Village with their fourth location, Tajima, San Diego’s cult favorite ramen concept, has taken their ramen empire across the border to Tijuana, B.C., Mexico. Considered one the best food halls in the world, Plaza Rio Food Garden is an 11,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor food court that opened in April 2015, located in Plaza Rio, a shopping center in Tijuana’s Zona Rio.

Along with Tajima’s Executive Chef and Owner, Isamu Morikizono, other known chefs at the food court include Chef Javier Plascencia and Chef Martin San Roman. Tajima will serve Ramen dishes including a Tonkotsu Ramen, Vegi Ramen, Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and a Baji-Cali Ramen. They will also serve Fried Rice with pork, tofu and shrimp. Sides include Gyoza and pork Kakuni Buns. Prices range from $50 pesos to $110 pesos ($2.50-$6 USD).

This weekend, from Saturday July 16- Sunday July 17, Tajima’s Tijuana location will be having a Grand Opening promotion offering 2 for 1 ramen (valid for Tonkotsu Ramen and Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen only). Tajima’s hours are Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m
