New additions coming to Liberty Station

If unique restaurants, bustling boutiques and a high-end movie theater didn’t yet peak interests at Liberty Station, then just wait. In the coming months, the former Naval Training Center is set to unveil new restaurants and businesses that locals and visitors can both enjoy.

Restaurants

Pisco Rotisserie & Cevicheria (Late July)

A taste of Peru is coming to Point Loma. In this “indoor-outdoor eatery,” Peruvian dishes will be paired with South American wines and beers, as well as San Diego’s “Pisco-driven cocktails.”

The Bar at Moniker General (Late July)

As if a coffee shop and retail store weren’t enough, Moniker General is adding a 1950s-style bar to its property. Aside from Moniker General’s famous cocktails, Moniker Home will debut a complimentary barware collection. Intrigued customers can expect to enjoy The Bar’s cocktails on Moniker General’s new extended patio.

POKÉ 1-2-3 (Late summer)

Located in the former Postal Annex building, POKÉ 1-2-3 will offer customers fresh ingredients in healthy dishes. Aside from poke, the restaurant will offer chicken and vegan options, all of which can be used in POKÉ 1-2-3’s custom bowls, tacos and Norritos (seaweed-wrapped burritos). Customers can access POKÉ 1-2-3’s healthy options through online ordering or delivery, or by dining indoors or on the patio.

Chloe at Scout (Early fall)

Chloe is moving north from downtown. In a few short months, the owners of Café Chloe will open a sister restaurant that will offer French dishes and cocktails in a new open-air location. Chloe at Scout will be located in Quarters D.

El Jardin (January 2018)

The owners of the acclaimed Breakfast Republic and Fig Tree Café restaurants are channeling south-of-the-border flavors in their newest project, El Jardin. The restaurant will offer “traditional and modern Mexican dishes accompanied by an extensive selection of tequila and mezcal.” El Jardin will offer both indoor and patio seating.

Club Pilates (August 2017)

The local Pilates studio that now spans nationally is opening a new state-of-the art studio in NTC Building 193. The new location will feature modern equipment and reformer-based workout classes.

Pigment (Fall 2017)

The North Park shop, locally famous for artisan products and gifts, is opening a larger location in the Naval Training Center’s former post office and general store. The space will house a retail store and “patio that will double as an outdoor terrarium bar for shoppers to create their own unique plant arrangements.”

Smoothie Rider (Now open)

Doughballs + Crackheads (Late July)

This new addition will offer wood-fired pizza, as well as all-day breakfast.

Rakiraki Ramen (Mid August)

Rakiraki will bring authentic Japanese cuisine to the Public Market. Aside from famous ramen, guests can expect to enjoy curry, ramen burgers and sushi.
