Kick off Super Bowl Sunday at Stone Brewing
What better way to kick off Super Bowl 50 than with a seven course feast and quality craft brews? Get ready to root for the team of your choice at the Stone Calm Before the Storm event at Stone World Bistro and Gardens in Escondido from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7.
Stone will be closing down their restaurant and one-acre garden for the special cellar-bration. Event goers can expect to try some of the rarest beers from Stone’s cellar that are not often available on tap or for purchase.
All brews will be expertly paired by the one and only Dr. Bill Sysak, so you know it’s going to be legit. Attendees will also be able to enjoy eight specialty beers of their choice, in addition to the beers paired with lunch. Some of the beers available are a 2006 StoneWall Ale aged in Bourbon Barrels, Gose Gose Gadget and Mint Chocolate Imperial Stout, a Ken Schmidt/Iron Fist/Stone collaboration.
Some of the choices include peanut butter and jelly stuffed jalapeno peppers, farm fresh squash salad, pulled pork chille verde and xi’an smashed Chinese meatballs. The courses can be enjoyed in any order you like.
The event is 21-and-up. For the full-menu and pairing list, visit stonebrewing.com. Tickets are $40-$65 and can be purchased on brownpapertickets.com
