Forget taco Tuesday. Our new midweek obsession is BiCE’s grilled cheese Tuesdays, going down every Tuesday from 5 to 10 p.m. inside the snazzy downtown restaurant.
BiCE’s cheese bar has long been esteemed in a league of its own, but the scene certainly beckons a more sophisticated crowd. The launch of grilled cheese Tuesdays brings a slightly more playful spirit in, inviting guests to revert to their favorite childhood food - made of course, with only the finest Italian cheeses.
Chef de Cuisine Francesca Penoncelli will present a specialty grilled cheese sandwich filled with a cheese from a different region of Italy and priced for $10. There will be a suggested wine pairing or beer for $16.
Tonight’s offering from Sardinia is a Pecorino Fiore Sardo and Prosciutto di Parma grilled cheese on house made jalapeño Focaccia. The featured wine is Icore’ Cannonau di Sardegna.
