Explore Liberty Station’s new Holiday Walkabout
If you’re like most of us, you’ve still got some shopping to do before Santa shimmies down your chimney. For those looking for a holiday-wonderland type of browsing and sampling experience, Liberty Station has you covered with its first annual Holiday Walkabout on Saturday Dec. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The event offers attendees the chance to enjoy complimentary samples of tasty eats and drinks from local restaurants throughout the evening. Participating eateries include Fireside, The Lot, Buona Forchetta, Soda and Swine, Slater’s 50/50, Chi Chocolat and several others.
Three blocks of Liberty Station will be dedicated to the event, featuring a few boutiques ideal for helping shoppers find a special present for that hard-to-shop-for relative. Kevin Eastmam, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Sara Richards, artist of My Little Pony will also be on-site, signing at the San Diego Comic Art Gallery, a great gift idea for cartoon-crazed kids and adults alike.
Wrap up your evening at the walkabout by lacing up for a skate-session around the new Liberty Station holiday ice rink, which will be open until 10 p.m. on Dec. 12.
The event is free to attend. For more information, please visit libertystation.com
