A Kentucky Derby party is going down at barleymash
Bummed you can’t make it to Louisville for this year’s Kentucky Derby? No worries, ya’ll! Head over to barleymash instead and have a San Diego-style Kentucky Derby viewing party.
The restaurant will be decked out in Derby-decor with multiple televisions for viewing the epic race. Dress in your Derby-best to win the title of best dressed, either in the hat or suit category, with prizes and giveaways to win all day long.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the restaurant will offer food and drink specials including some down-South favorites like Cup of the Burgoo, a stew made with pulled pork, braised chicken, braised short rib, black eyed peas, veggies and okra. There will also be Southern open-faced brown sandwich special, which features a decadent Texas toast topped with roasted turkey, bourbon roasted tomatoes, garlic cream and two slices of bacon melted together with a three-cheese blend. Oh, and don’t forget to sip on one or two traditional mint julep cocktails!
Live music will be provided by Drought Intolerant throughout the event.
