Veggie Vibes: With a variety of plans available, this local company puts tastebuds front and center with organic, local and sustainable ingredients. The Alive Living Cuisine option offers raw breakfast, lunch and dinner subscriptions for three days ($163), five days ($264) or seven days ($336). Plans include raw salads, soups, entrees, snacks and desserts. Food Made Fresh: Located in Carlsbad, Chef Chrissy Weir prepares a variety of meals for different dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and paleo. With no subscription required, customers can choose from a weekly menu posted every Monday afternoon. Veggie options are plentiful, and may include oatmeal with amaranth and maple sauteed apples, farro and red lentils with tahini-soy vinaigrette; Southwest quinoa stuffed bell peppers; or sweet potato curry with brown rice. Fresh & Fit Meals: This San Diego outfit strives to support the local economy by using a majority of its organic produce and from local, sustainable farms. Meal options include five ($69), 10 ($119), or 14 ($159) meals per week, with meals marked as V (vegetarian) or VG (vegan) for plant-based dishes. Have your meals delivered Sunday and Monday to homes or businesses or pick up your meals at a variety of locations throughout the county, for a free meal each week.
