The Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration is coming
The wildest, largest Mardi Gras party in town is back with new, thrilling entertainment. This year’s Gaslamp Mardi Gras Parade and Celebration will take place on Saturday, Feb. 6, making it more accessible than ever for all San Diegans to join in on the giant party. The evening of vibrant, bead-slinging fun to celebrate Mardi Gras will kick off at 4 p.m. and last until midnight.
At 9 p.m., the Big Easy Parade will take over Fifth Ave., featuring over 50 floats that range from music artists to specialty performers. Watch as the streets of San Diego come alive with an overwhelming display of celebratory lights, talent and sound.
Beyond the parade, there will be five performance stages, open-music areas, interactive displays, professional dancers and more. Hear DJs battle over the airwaves, transmitting their tunes through special wireless headphones, at the Hush Soundsystem Silent Disco. If you’d prefer live music, head to the hip-hop and EDM stage to watch some talented musicians do their thing. The final stage line-up will be released in the weeks leading up to the event.
Tickets are $45 through Jan.24; $55 through Feb.5; $60 day of event. VIP tickets are also available for $75 through Jan. 24; $90 through Feb. 5 and $100 day of event. VIP packages include a special entrance, VIP restrooms, 3 beverages, and admission to the event.
