Take a baking class from an SD legend
Interested in taking your baking skills to the next level? Stop by East Village’s Bake Sale Bakery to participate in BAKE! classes from 6 to 9 p.m. on select Wednesday nights through 2016.
The courses welcome all levels of baking enthusiasts, from newbies to experts, to join in on the lessons led by Terryl Gavre. Gavre has received national acclaim for her work in San Diego’s restaurant industry from the Food Network, Gourmet Magazine and Huffington Post.
Each of Gavre’s courses will offer a different recipe and baking theme, such as Romantic Recipes, Biscuits 101, Pies 101 and Griddle Me Gorgeous, a lesson on how to make killer flap jacks, pancakes and griddle cakes. Attendees will get the inside scoop on some of San Diego’s hottest restaurant’s secrets as well, like how to master Cafe 222’s famous orange-pecan pancakes.
Classes start at $75 per person.
