Share

What is it? Vegetable saag

Where is it from? Sundara Indian Cuisine and Craft Beer

What’s in it? Curry with spinach, caramelized onion and a variety of vegetables. You can also add paneer, a fresh cheese, to the dish if you’d like an even creamier saag.

How much will it cost me? $11.95

Why we love it? The house-made saag from Sundara is unique, flavorful and a must-try, plant-based meal. It’s a traditional Indian dish, made with a spinach-based curry and caramelized onions. You have a choice of adding veggies or meat to the saag; we opted for veggies which include a mix of broccoli, green peas and cauliflower. Within the curry, you’ll taste delicious flavors of fresh tomato, cream and a variety of spices. It has a kick, but isn’t too spicy for those who are sensitive. It’s served with a side of rice that makes the veggie-loaded meal extra satisfying. Pro tip: The portions are big here, so consider sharing your saag with someone special.
